Exceptional Customer Care

For more than 18 years, EcoPlay® lumber has been used to manufacture commercial playground equipment and site amenities that meet stringent safety criteria.

Providing an attractive and safe play area for your community's children is an important task. We'll take the time to understand your specific needs and your specific site, so that we're able to recommend the right solutions that work well for your community. From initial design to manufacturing to installation, we'll communicate clearly with you the entire way so that you know exactly what to expect and when to expect it. In the end, you'll have an attractive, safe, eco-friendly play area that kids in your community will love for generations.

Our Materials

We manufacture the structural components of our commercial play equipment with our proprietary EcoPlay® lumber. Unlike steel that rusts over time, or wood that rots and splinters, our EcoPlay® will never rot, rust, splinter, or crack. We stand behind the structures we manufacture with a 50-year warranty on our EcoPlay® lumber.

Why EcoPlay is superior to steel

  • Durable: Made from clean, recycled HDPE plastic (milk jugs), EcoPlay lumber is highly competitive with the strength and cost of steel—yet EcoPlay lumber is much more durable because it will never rust.
  • Easy-Care: EcoPlay lumber requires little or no maintenance, and with occasional washing, will look and perform great for decades.
  • Won't Rust: Steel is prone to rust, especially in coastal areas or any area with frequent rainfall. Rusted parts can rarely be repaired. That's why steel playground structures, even with regular rust prevention, typically need to be replaced after 10 to 15 years of service.

Why EcoPlay is superior to other plastic-based materials

Unlike other HDPE, fiber-reinforced composite, and composite plastics used to make playground equipment, EcoPlay lumber combines two attributes that result in extraordinary strength and durability:

  • Made from naturally occurring minerals: High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is rugged, durable, and 100% recyclable. It has outstanding chemical, moisture, and environmental stress crack resistance. Non-HDPE plastics are not commingled with the HDPE and fiberglass is not found in EcoPlay's lumber. Nor do we add filler that will degrade tensile and compressive strengths.
  • High Density: Our proprietary formula creates an ultra-dense, yet non-brittle outer "shell". This means EcoPlay lumber provides extraordinary structural properties and won't rot, split, crack, chip, or fade, even after long exposure to harsh weather conditions.

Ecoplay vs. Steel

Installing a playground is truly a long-term investment. As you evaluate playground proposals from alternative suppliers, be sure your comparison takes into account the total cost of ownership, not just the initial investment. Run the numbers, and you'll be amazed at the long-term savings you will gain from EcoPlay!

Consider a real-world example. The EcoPlay playground in this photo has an installed cost of about $43,000. A similar playground using steel components would cost about $4,000 less. Steel seems to have an advantage—until we factor in longevity:

  • Steel playgrounds will typically need to be completely replaced (materials and labor) every 15 years.
  • The cost of "refreshing" an EcoPlay playground is about 20% of the total installed cost every 15 years—e.g., to replace chin-up bars or other components. Plus, EcoPlay® lumber is warranted for 50 years
